We stayed here 4 nights during Labor Day weekend with our 2 dogs. The surrounding area is a bit "rough" so we stayed close to the campground and everyone was nice and respectful. There is a race track within hearing distance that you can hear on Friday and Saturday nights but didn't really bother us at all. The views were awesome, the staff was great and the facilities were dated but very clean. Dogs are not allowed to swim but I find at campgrounds this is the norm so we were not disappointed regarding this. Great spot is E1 even thou the bathroom is right there...not many people use it. Just make sure you have a 50ft 30amp extension cord and at least 100ft hose since the hookup in this spot is a distance away.
Great place to camp again. The city has done a wonderful job finding family friendly staff that enjoys kids having fun. Those that complain are the old party crowds that had special treatment from the old staff. The city is working with the town of Granby to clean the lake for swimming. Most bodies of water in New York this year have problems. Even state parks charge to visit. The fees here are better than most camp grounds. It is great to see the bathrooms are cleaned on a more regular basis. My son will finally shower in there again. The best part is the staff looks you in the face and greats you with a smile people are actually welcomed back again.
We have always loved it here. New management and making a differance.
Love it there I will be back
My family and I have had very bad experience since new management took over. We use to camp here all the time but since management has changed we will not be returning! The place is not well taken care of the bathroom and shower rooms are very dirty! The fishing area is full of dog and bird poop. The camp site it self was not set up very well we had trouble hooking our camper up because they didn't have the correct voltage hook up as they list they have. When addressing the issue to the employees we not only received no help but we received attitude and was told to figure it out or leave. We ended up leaving because we were so disappointed but thankfully found another campsite just ten miles away and it was a wonderful experience and a very nice clean camping area!!! Wouldn't send my worse enemy to North Bay!
